Founded in 1964 as a journal of the Francisc Rainer Institute of Anthropology in The Romanian Academy, Studii şi Cercetări de Antropologie (SCA) / Anthropological Researches and Studies (ARS) was redesigned since 2012 as a biannual on-line forum for original research in applied and theoretical anthropology.
The journal is committed to the publication of innovative contributions covering a wide array of anthropological fields such as biological and medical anthropology (auxology, behavioural ecology, epidemiology, nutrition, sexual behaviour and reproduction, biology of population etc.), palaeo-anthropology (osteology, bioarchaeology, palaeopathology, etc.), social and cultural anthropology (demographic anthropology, linguistic anthropology, psychological anthropology, anthropology of religion, etc.).
SCA / ARS publishes articles written in Romanian, English, French. To facilitate the international circuit of information, summaries are written in English and optionally in Romanian. For texts in English, SCA / ARS recommends spelling rules set forth in The Oxford English Dictionary.
In preparing their manuscript, the authors should follow the Instructiuni pentru autori / Authors guidelines .
